Third Alert

20th OCTOBER 2008
The band have been re-recording some of the parts of The Red and the Grey and have laid down another version of Bad Girl this week. We also hope to have Taking the Fall recorded as well over the next few weeks. As soon as they're ready we'll put them on MySpace and have an EP ready for purchase at the gigs.

8th OCTOBER 2008
The band are just putting the finishing touches to the latest edition of the Third Alert newsletter, the 2008 Quarter 4 edition, which should be going out within the next week.
If any venue not on our list wants a copy, email the band here. As usual once it's been sent out, it will be available for download to everyone in pdf format on the band's forum.

7th OCTOBER 2008
Third Alert are now taking bookings for the 2009 season. We already have a few firm dates and a lot more enquiries. If you want the band to play at a local venue near you then get in touch with the manager/landlord and get him to ring Martyn on 07773 374610.
If you're a manager/landlord and we have played or you want us to play at your venue then again please phone Martyn and he will get it all sorted.

5th OCTOBER 2008
Well, the wedding of Sharon and Paul went ahead yesterday. The band turned up in the evening and played 14 or 15 songs which went down very well. A good time was had by all.

30th SEPTEMBER 2008
We're sorry that there's been a bit of gap between now and the last bit of news. This has been due to band members on summer holiday, but now they are back and have been busy over the last couple of weeks. Prior to the holidays Third Alert played a phenomenal gig at the famous Shakespeare venue in Coventry. The pictures can be found here. It was a fantastic night with a great crowd. The band can't wait to get back there.
Once the holidays were finished the band played 4 gigs in just nine days and have now posted pictures up from two of these gigs here and here.
The band's drummer Paul gets married to Sharon on October 4th, and the band will be playing an hour or so set at the celebrations, after which the happy couple are off to Canada for three weeks. The rest of the band won't be idle though, they plan to do some more recording during the break.

26th AUGUST 2008
We always put photos of our gig in our STUFF section of the website and one or two on our MySpace site. We have now updated the photo section of the MySpace site to take the overflow of great photos that our friends take. So make sure you check both THIRDALERT.COM and MySpace after each gig.

24th AUGUST 2008
The band have placed a new self-penned song on MySpace. Called BAD GIRL its a song about the type of girl every bloke doesn't want to meet yet wishes he had. Go and have a listen.

23rd AUGUST 2008
The band had a fantastic gig at the SHAKESPEARE pub in Coventry on the 22nd. Considering it's still the holiday season the place was packed and packed with rock music fans who wanted a good time. They were up for dancing and head-banging and we even caught Wardie dancing about. Thanks to everyone who came out to see us - it was brilliant. Photos from this fantastic gig can be seen here.
